A little about me

Dunnottar isn't just where I spend my summers. It's a place I've loved since I was a boy, and a community I've been proud to serve for the past ten years. Some of my happiest memories are summers here at the lake, and when I had the chance to buy a cottage of my own, there was only one place I wanted to be.

After a career spent building and running my own business, I learned what it takes to make careful decisions, listen to people, and follow through. Giving back has always been part of who I am, from lending a hand at our Canada Day parade in Ponemah and Family Day in Whytewold Park, to volunteering with Agape Table and the food banks that serve our communities.

Why am I running again?

“One simple reason: I care about this place and the people in it. I want to keep Dunnottar the quiet, welcoming community we all love, and to keep working to protect what makes it special.”

What I'll Keep Working On

Where I Stand: The Hydrogen Plant

Many residents have asked where I stand on the proposed hydrogen plant.

After listening to community members and reviewing the information available, I do not support moving forward with the project as it has been proposed.

I believe Council's responsibility is to protect Dunnottar's long-term environmental health, preserve the character of our community, and ensure that major developments clearly demonstrate lasting benefits while minimizing risk to residents.

I support responsible growth, but it must be transparent, financially sound, and have the confidence of the community. My priority is making decisions that are in the best interests of Dunnottar, both today and for future generations.
